Världscuptävling i Skidskytte i Anterselva/Antholz kan sammanfattas så här: otrolig stämning, spännande tävlingar, folkfest, underbart väder, Weissbier, tysk musik, fantastisk bakgrundskuliss till skjutvallen och en häftig upplevelse.

Biathlon World Cup race in Anterselva/Antholz: incredible atmosphere, exciting competitions, folk festival, wonderful weather, Weissbier, German music, breathtaking backdrop to the shooting range and a very cool experience.

Vi besökte tävlingarna i lördags och såg damernas masstart och herrarnas stafett. Eftersom vi båda är intresserade av skidskytte och alltid följer med tävlingarna på TV, ville vi passa på att se en världscuptävling när den gick precis i närheten (bara cirka 35 minuter härifrån). Antholz/Anterselva är dessutom en av de tävlingar med bäst stämning, vilket ju gjorde det lite extra kul. Och det var verkligen mycket folk, varav de absolut flesta var tyskar, och även fast vi var där två timmar innan första tävlingen lyckades vi inte få platser precis vid banan. Trots det hade vi helt okej platser där vi såg en del av banan och också storbildsskärmen. Det var också ett mycket bra ordnat evenemang med gratis transferbuss från parkeringen som låga cirka 10 minuters resa från själva arenan, ett absolut måste för att få allt att löpa smidigt. Sammantaget en väldigt kul upplevelse som absolut rekommenderas!

We visited the races on Saturday and saw the women's mass start and the men's relay. Since we both are very interested in biathlon and always follow the races on TV, we wanted to take the opportunity to see a World Cup race when it took place just nearby (only about 35 minutes away). Antholz/Anterselva is also one of the competitions with the best atmosphere, which of course made it extra fun. And it was really a lot of people, mostly Germans, and even though we were there two hours before the first race we were unable to get right by the track. Still we got okay places where we saw a part of the track and also the big screen. It was also a very well organized event with a free shuttle bus from the parking lot, a 10-minute drive from the stadium itself, an absolute must for a smooth running. Overall a very fun experience that we absolutely recommend!

Vägen upp till Anterselva/Antholz, cirka 1650 möh, är nästa lika vacker som platsen själv.

The road up to Anterselva/Antholz, appr. 1650 m a.s.l., is almost as beautiful as the place itself.
