A hike with two special twists

A couple of weeks ago we did a hike in Gsiesertal/Valle di Casies that turned out a bit different:) We started the hike just appr. kilometer from where we stayed. We didn't have a specific goal, just thinking that we would hike up to maybe some huts. The hike we decided to take was demanding physically, but technically easy,  perfect when wanting to have a good training but still feeling comfortable with Chiara with us. 

The first funny thing happened after maybe half one hour when we met a couple who was taking down their cows from the alps for the winter. Chiara who loves cows really think it was fun to see so many cows and her parents find it very nice to be offered some doughnuts from the woman. Such a nice gesture:)

​After this nice happening we just managed to walk a couple of minutes before a car stopped by and asked where we were going. Since we really didn't had any final destination we just said that we didn't know but planned to walk a bit further. The woman in the car asked if we wanted to join her up to her hut at around 2 000 m.a.s.l. and being able to see the amazing view over all the mountains. We thought that would be nice and jumped in. When we came up to the hut she told us that if we wanted to get a ride back down she would return at 2.30 so it was just to show up then. Since both Marcus and I enjoy the hiking parts that going upwards or flat, we thought it would be nice to take a hike up high in the mountains and then get a ride back down. It turned out to be a nice hike with lots of beautiful spots and an amazing view wherever you were looking. Before the descent we also had time for a coffee break. It was also very nice to be talking this and that with the woman who was so nice to offer us a lift.

För ett par veckor sen gjorde vi en vandring i Gsiesertal/Valle di Casies som blev lite annorlunda :) Vi började vandringen bara ungefär en kilometer från där vi bodde. Vi hade inget specifikt mål, utan tänkte bara att vi skulle vandra upp till kanske någon hütte eller bara så länge vi tyckte. Vandringen som vi bestämde oss för var rätt så krävande fysiskt, men tekniskt lätt, perfekt när vi ville få till bra träning men att det ändå skulle känna bra att ha Chiara med oss.

Det första lite roliga grejen hände efter kanske en halvtimme när vi mötte ett par som var på väg ner med sina kor från almarna för vintern. Chiara som älskar kor tyckte verkligen att det var kul att se så många kor på en gång och hennes föräldrar tycker det är väldigt trevligt att bli bjudna på munkar från kvinnan. En verkligt trevlig gest :)

Efter denna trevliga händelse hann vi bara gå ett litet tag innan en bil stannade och kvinnan bakom ratten frågade vart vi skulle. Eftersom vi egentligen inte hade något mål sa vi bara att vi inte visste men planerade att gå lite längre fram på vägen. Då frågade hon om vi ville hänga med henne upp till hennes hütte på cirka 2000 m.ö.h. för att få se den fantastiska utsikten över alla bergen. Vi tänkte att det skulle vara trevligt och hoppade in. När vi kom fram till hennes hütte sa hon till oss att om vi ville få skjuts tillbaka skulle hon vara tillbaks vid bilen kl halv tre och då var det bara att hänga med tillbaks ner. Eftersom både Marcus och jag gillar att vandra uppför eller platt, tyckte vi att det skulle vara fint att vandra högt upp i bergen och sedan åka ner igen med henne. Vi fick till en riktigt fin vandring då vi fick uppleva flera vackra platser och en fantastisk utsikt vart vi än tittade. Innan färden tillbaka ner hann vi också med en liten fikapaus. En riktigt fin vandringsdag och det var också riktigt trevligt att prata lite ditt och datt med kvinnan  som var så snäll och erbjöd oss skjuts.
