Visit by boat to Kastelholm and Jan Karlsgården

Throwback to a cozy day when we visited Kastelholm Castle and the open air museum Jan Karlsgården, a trip that has become a tradition after having done it also both last year and two years ago. Chiara really like visiting the castle, and do the treasure hunt, and even though we think it is quite unnecessary to visit to castle each year, we still think it is nice that she likes it. Unfortunately, the visit wasn't a hit this year, since we were met by the information that the treasure hunt unfortunately wasn't available since the "pieces" were on repair, and that instead children could do some paintings in the castle. To be honest, I think it's really bad that things like this aren’t taken care of before the tourist season starts — that there's simply not more foresight. Despite the mishit with the treasure hunt, we still had a nice time, we enjoyed the nice weather, read books, did some drawings and ending the visit with lunch in the boat.

Tillbaka till en mysig dag när vi besökte Kastelholms slott och friluftsmuseet Jan Karlsgården, en utflykt som har blivit lite av en tradition efter att ha gjort det både förra året och för två år sedan. Chiara tycker verkligen om att besöka slottet och delta i skattjakten, och även om vi tycker att det är lite onödigt att besöka slottet varje år, tycker vi ändå att det är trevligt att hon gillar det. Tyvärr blev besöket ingen succé i år, samtidigt som vi möttes av informationen att skattjakten tyvärr inte var tillgänglig eftersom "bitarna" var på reparation, men att barn istället kunde få rita i slottet. Ärligt talat tycker jag att det är riktigt dåligt att sådana här saker inte tas om hand innan turistsäsongen börjar – att det helt enkelt inte finns mer framförhållning. Trots missödet med skattjakten hade vi ändå trevligt – vi njöt av det fina vädret, läste böcker, ritade och avslutade besöket med lunch i båten.
